Clevatess Episode 2 Summary

Krenn is oddly chill about being captured. He casually tells Alicia they got caught a while ago, but he hasn’t done anything because Luna is napping—and waking a baby? That’s the real crime.

Alicia, meanwhile, is stressed. She can’t believe a few bandits managed to take down the mighty Lord of Dark Beasts. She asks if he’s just that weak in human form. But Krenn explains it’s not about power—this is just his first time in a human body, and he didn’t realize human skulls are so pathetically fragile. One whack to the head and boom—nap time.

Now that he’s aware, though, he promises no one’s catching him off guard again.

Alicia is relieved… but also confused. If he’s fine now, why not just break out?

Krenn says he’s undercover. Until Luna becomes king, he wants to stay low-key and learn more about humans—especially the darker side of their nature. Speaking of which, he asks Alicia what’s going on.

She explains they were caught by bandits—the scum of the earth. They’re planning to sell the survivors to slavers. They’re weak, but dangerous because they fight dirty. Still, she assures Krenn that not all humans are this awful.

Eventually, they arrive at the bandit base. One captive tries to escape, but with chains on, he barely makes a step before a knife is lodged in his back. The bandits warn the rest: run, and die.

The crowd freezes in fear. Krenn, however, finds the whole situation… fascinating.

Before he and Alicia can continue, a bandit drags her off. Krenn lets it happen—still curious about human behavior.

Then, a woman yells at him for slacking off. Since he’s “technically” a slave, he plays along. But as soon as she sees him holding a baby, she calls out for Nell, a clumsy overworked tavern slave. Nell hears her name, panics, and trips, dropping all the laundry.

Karm, the yelling woman, blows up at her, and Nell apologizes mid-crash.

Back at the tavern, Karm tells Nell she’s now in charge of caring for Krenn’s baby. The moment Nell sees Luna, her whole face lights up—turns out, she loves babies. Lucky for Luna, at least someone here is qualified for childcare.

Meanwhile, Alicia is dragged to the office of the bandits’ vice-captain, Vroco, who immediately starts yelling that they forgot to call him “Boss.” The others laugh it off, thinking he’s joking—until he threatens to unleash his pet troll, Betty. Yeah… not so funny anymore.

Alicia is stunned—not only because he has a troll, but because he somehow trained it to act like a loyal puppy. Disturbing.

Getting down to business, Vroco pulls out the bag of gems they confiscated from Alicia. He knows those gems only come from Luna MountainClevatess‘s territory. No regular human could’ve gotten that close and lived.

He also knows the kingdom of Hayen recently sent a squad of heroes to fight Clevatess, and rumor has it… they all died. One of those heroes, according to reports, looked a lot like Alicia.

He even mentions how Clevatess obliterated Hayen, calling it tragic—but for the Raven Bandits, it was a golden opportunity. He then pulls out a shiny red sword, and Alicia is stunned—it looks like a Monahiterate Blade, a rare magical weapon. But Vroco admits it’s a fake. Only royals can forge real ones.

Still, business is booming. The Raven Bandits deal in two things: slaves and fake magic swords, because—let’s be honest—most buyers can’t tell the difference.

With the royal family supposedly wiped out, prices for legit magic swords are skyrocketing. Vroco is especially after the 13 Regalia, legendary weapons made by the king before his death. All of them were lost during the failed battle with Clevatess.

Now, with Alicia in their custody, Vroco wants her to lead them to the Regalia. After that? He doesn’t care what the others do with her.

Meanwhile, back at the tavern, Krenn is still playing the humble servant—flawlessly blending into his undercover role… for now.

While Nell is busy feeding Luna, everything stays peaceful. But trouble’s never far—one bandit yells at her for beer. She obeys, but still gets kicked in the back mid-task.

Then another bandit orders Krenn to fetch meat. He silently complies, playing his servant role like a pro. The bandits are impressed by how obedient he is, thinking he’s perfect slave material. But Karm isn’t so sure. His horn, pale skin, and dead-cold eyes give her serious “not human” vibes.

Later, as Nell returns with beer, one bandit purposely trips her. She crashes, spilling everything. They blame her, of course, and drag her out for a beating—just for fun.

Once they walk away, Krenn silently uses his shadows to erase them from existence. No fuss, no mess.

He then checks on Nell, asking for more milk—Luna’s hungry again. She agrees, and while feeding, Krenn gets curious. He asks about her life.

Nell shares her tragic story: born among pirates, never knew her father, and her mother was constantly abused until she vanished. After that, the abuse shifted to Nell—she lost most of her teeth, and can only hear from one ear. Things eased a bit when Karm took her in, and she became the group’s wet nurse.

Krenn wonders how she produces milk without a child. She quietly reveals she did have one—but it was a stillbirth. Heartbroken, she wished to die… until a baby appeared, suckling on her. From then on, she took care of any hungry infant brought to her.

Krenn, moved but stoic, offers her a job as Luna’s full-time nurse. He still doesn’t trust humans—but he trusts her. Nell is touched, but politely declines. “You’re a slave too,” she says, “how could we escape?”

Meanwhile, Alicia is being led across a rickety rope bridge. She spots their destination: a flooded mine shaft. Bad vibes incoming.

Below, a man with a hook stands by the pier—desperate. The bandits promise freedom if he retrieves treasure from the water. He dives in… and Alicia immediately screams for him to stop. Legends say that water’s full of Arvinces—ancient lake monsters.

Too late.

The beasts burst out, tearing the man apart while his horrified wife watches. Alicia is horrified. The bandits? Loving every second of it.

These monsters, Arvinces, came during the Great Flood 300 years ago. Even Hero Cordir, the strongest of his time, couldn’t defeat them. Back when there was land. Now that it’s all water… fighting them is suicide.

The legendary sword used by the old hero was called Stream Splitter, and Alicia figures that’s the “treasure” the bandits were tricking that poor man into retrieving. But even if he had survived, they clearly planned to kill him anyway.

She calls them what they are—irredeemable scumbags.

The bandits aren’t thrilled. They remind her she’s in no position to talk big—hands tied, feet shackled, and dangling on a bridge hundreds of meters up, with a dozen creeps waiting to take turns torturing her. One named Fido is practically drooling at the idea.

Backed into a corner, Alicia decides it’s time to use Clevatess’s curse—something she hoped to avoid.

With sheer willpower, she dislocates her shoulder, rotates her arms behind her head, and crushes Fido’s skull between her shackles—then forces his blade to slice the rope.

They both plunge into the rocky mine below. A sickening crack echoes as Alicia hits the floor.

She dies instantly.
